you, me and the way the world ends

“There have been five mass extinctions in the earth’s history. All the evidence we have – all the evidence that scientists have – is that we’re about to reach the sixth mass extinction.”

There’s a tsunami about to start in the Atlantic, an asteroid changing its direction in space and in England the bees are disappearing. But something equally important is also about to happen: I’m going to meet you.

A storytelling show for one performer (non-gender specific) you, me and the way the world ends is coming of age story about fear, best friends and growing up in a world of heightened terror alerts, cross continental pandemics, and climate change.

you, me and the way the world ends was originally conceived during a writing residency at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in August 2014, was workshopped at the Bike Shed Theatre in October 2014 and was subsequently given a work-in-progress performance by the West Yorkshire Playhouse as part of Furnace Festival 2015. The script is currently in its final phase of development.
